Madison Fagerstrom

Madison is a senior in CMU integrative public relations program with a minor in media arts. During her time here at CMU she has held a part time job, been a member of the marching band and a member of Alpha Gamma Delta. A fun fact about her time here at CMU is she participated in the Disney College Program and Disney Alumni Program.
Abby Lomoro
Undergraduate senior
Abby is currently a senior studying IPR and Marketing. Outside of class Abby is involved in Delight Ministries where she serves as the Outreach Chair and soon to be Social Media Chair. She also owns a photography business Abigail.L.Photography. Abby specializes in weddings and high school seniors. It’s the BEST job because she gets to do what she loves and call it her job. This summer Abby has an internship at Honor Credit Union as a Community Relations intern, and she is so excited to dive deeper into PR and grow her knowledge even more!
Isabella Blenkle
Undergraduate senior
Isabella is a graduating senior at Central Michigan University studying Integrative Public Relations and minoring in Communication. During her time at CMU, Isabella has held multiple positions in the Organization of Asian Leaders, worked on the Diversity Committee for the Student Government Association and interned at the Masonic Temple of Detroit. Isabella hopes to use her degree to continue to work in the live music industry. In her free time, Isabella enjoys crocheting, playing guitar, bingeing reality television with her roommates and spending time with her cat, Juniper.
Kathryn Nickell
Undergraduate senior
Kathryn is a senior at Central Michigan University double-majoring in Integrative Public Relations and Communication. Before coming to CMU, she earned her associate degree from Delta College and attended the 2024 MCCPA Conference, where she was honored to receive three awards. Because of that experience, she is super excited to now help plan the 2026 MCCPA Conference for aspiring writers. Her favorite parts of public relations are event planning, building trust and relationships, and creating opportunities that bring people together. Outside of PR, Kathryn loves traveling, thrifting, and going on adventures with her two dogs. In the future, she hopes to become an entrepreneur.
Odessa Watson
Undergraduate Senior
Odessa Watson is a 4th year Integrative Public Relations senior with a minor in Theatre & Interpretation expected to graduate this upcoming May, 2026. In her college years, Odessa has interned with Hurley Medical Center in Flint, MI, Central Michigan University's own Department of Theatre and Dance, and Midland Center for the Arts where she interns currently within their marketing team. Outside of her professional life, Odessa loves musical performance and often participates in CMU Theatre's Mainstage and Studio Series productions. She also is the music director of Central Harmony A Cappella, the university's premiere gender-inclusive a cappella group.
Maddie VanAlstine
Undergraduate senior
Maddie VanAlstine is a senior at Central Michigan University studying Integrative Public Relations with a minor in Nonprofit Leadership and Service. She is involved on campus through the Nonprofit Leadership Student Alliance (NLSA) and His House Christian Church CMU, where she has held several leadership roles.
Before attending CMU, Maddie grew up in the Traverse City area. After graduation, she plans to move to Grand Rapids to marry her best friend and begin her career.
Outside of school and work, she enjoys trying new coffee shops with friends, taking late-night drives, thrifting, and binge-watching Gilmore Girls for the hundredth time.

Ella Pierzecki
Undergraduate Senior
Ella is a graduating senior at Central Michigan University, majoring in Integrative Public Relations and Political Science with a minor in Broadcast and Cinematic Arts. During her time at CMU, Ella has interned at WDIV-TV in Detroit, WCMU in Mount Pleasant and the United States Senate in Washington, D.C. She is a reporter, anchor and producer at CMU’s student-run television show, MHTV. She enjoys to read, writing and watching her Detroit Tigers.
Jim Wojcik

Jim Wojcik, associate professor of journalism, joined the department in the spring of 2000 after serving as director of student media at Central Michigan University for 30 years. After graduating from CMU in 1965, Wojcik worked as a sports editor at the Mt. Pleasant Daily Times-News before returning to his alma mater as sports information director, working in the university’s public relations department. Following two years as sports information director, he taught journalism for a year in the department before leaving CMU to become editor of the Mt. Pleasant Daily Times-News. He returned to CMU as director of student media in 1971.
